In 2002, the University of Arizona conducted a study for bacteria found on a typical worker’s desk. They found the desks to contain hundreds of times more bacteria per square inch than an office toilet seat. For example, there were 49 germs/ sq. inch on toilet seats and 21,000 germs/ sq. inch on phones.
